Harry the hippo

 

 

It seems that every time England play an international match and the result does not go in their favour then people come out with some pretty annoying statements and this time against the Czech Republic brought out the idiocy in Harry Redknapp.

 

His tirade could only be seen to be believed as some of his uttering bothered on xenophobia with the usual rubbish of how many of the Czech side would get into the England side or indeed the best clubs in England and how Steve Gerrard amongst others is being wasted by being played out of position.

 

Firstly Mr. Redknapp, apart from last season when you won the FA cup with Portsmouth, you had won nothing with your various sides and had never qualified for any European competition until now.

 

He just keeps coming out with a lot of rubbish like how even his wife would be successful if she was in charge of Chelsea or other bigger clubs because of the spending power.

 

He has been griping for years about how the big jobs as well as the England job always seem to go to foreigners. His outbursts could be construed as racist as he comes across as a bitter idiot complaining about everything that is not English.

 

He had said in the past the Arsene Wenger’s success is due to him having good scouts thereby taking away from Wenger’s achievements because Wenger has achieved far more success than this clown with the almost the same budget.

 

The Czech Republic players might not be in the biggest clubs in the world but that is not necessarily based on ability as race and nationality are also a determining figure in who plays for what team no matter how much we try to fool ourselves that race transcends all sports.

 

There is not a chance in hell that if David Beckham was either black or from Eastern Europe; with his ability, he would not be as popular as he is. So for Harry the hippo to be suggesting that only great players play for the big teams in England or that players from the Eastern Europe are judged on the same basis as their western counterparts, then he is even more stupid than I think he is.

 

Even his team selection could not be more humorous as he suggested that Peter Crouch play as a lone striker with Wayne Rooney in the right sided midfield; Frank Lampard, Steve Gerrard and Gareth Barry in the central midfield with Joe Cole on the left.

 

Okay I am no manager and never likely to be but even I know that a lone striker has to have certain characteristics like strength, ability to work his socks off for the team, holding the ball up for his teammates time and time again and pace.

 

I wonder which of those characteristics Crouch possesses and to suggest that Rooney should play on the right does not require any further comments from me.

 

This is a guy that was given a relative big club in Newcastle and he chickened out giving some lame ass excuse and now he is trying to tell Fabio Capello how to do his job. Please Harry do the world a favour and shut the hell up.
