BORING BORING BORING TRANSFER NEWS!
Every year, 2 teams in particular, bore the pants off me and no doubt other footballer lovers around the globe with their constant transfer speculation of the same player .
Real Madrid and Manchester United are the 2 clubs I am referring to. They constantly are in the press regarding 1 player or the other and sometimes they end up not even buying that player.
As regards to Manchester United, last season it was Owen Hargreaves, this season it’s all about 2 Argentines. Carlos Tevez and Gabriel Heinze. You read Tevez has signed or Tevez will be a Manchester United player by a certain date, then the next thing, you read reports coming out of United, that the deal will be complicated. My advice is for Manchester United to buy him already, so they can have the "best looking" frontline in Europe with Tevez and Rooney leading the attack
With Heinze, you read that “he is going to Juventus”, no, he is going to Real Madrid”, wrong again, “he is off to Liverpool”. Then you hear Manchester United is not willing to sell a player to Liverpool. The next day you read that Heinze’s agent says he wants to join Liverpool.
Then we segue nicely to Real Madrid, the past masters of boring the life out of people with their transfer campaign. They started off by claiming Cristiano Ronaldo would be their primary target, upsetting fellow “irritants”, Manchester United, along the way. They then boasted about kaka going to be their player, upsetting another “irritant in the transfer columns page”, AC Milan. Now it has been back and forth with Chelsea for that “big girl’s blouse “, Arjen Robben. Claims and counter claims, denials and counter denials, it has just been one extremely boring saga that unfortunately, shows no signs of abating.
AC Milan is another club that continues to try your reading patience. First you read they are about to sign back Andriy Shevchenko, then they deny it. Then they say he is too expensive, then they claim Shevchenko has called them to say he is unhappy at Chelsea. Shevchenko then threatens to sue papers that carry such malicious lies, claiming he is delighted at Chelsea etc. Then it is reported they are interested in Drogba, Et’oo, Ronaldinho or Pato.
